Thirsty? Try This! #3

I love Mint Juleps! I realize that this is a drink that synonymous with the Kentucky Derby, but I promise you can drink it at other times too! The drink is traditionally served in a silver or pewter cup, but you could make it in a double old fashioned or a Tom Collins glass. Although, any glass would do in event that you do not have any of those glasses.

      Ingredients:
  • Leaves from 4-5 sprigs of mint
  • 2 tablespoons superfine sugar
  • 3 ounces Bernheim Wheat Whisky or Maker's Mark Bourbon
  • Crushed ice to fill
  • Mint springs to garnish
      Method:
  1. Place the superfine sugar in glass with a little soda water and lightly swirl
  2. Muddle the mint with the sugar dissolved in the soda water
  3. Add the spirits
  4. Fill with crushed ice
  5. Gingerly stir
  6. Garnish with mint sprigs
  7. Serve with straw
This drink makes me happy. It helps me imagine that I am a southern gentleman of means. There are many variations of this drink, so if you feel that 3 ounces is too much spirits you may reduce it to 2 and a half ounces. Although, I can't imagine why you would ever want to reduce the spirits in this drink or any other drink! This cocktail is best enjoyed during the summer months, but you can drink it anytime as a way to relive summers past.

Bernheim Wheat Whisky retails for around $45 for a 750 mL bottle, Maker's Mark Bourbon retails for around $25 for a 750 mL bottle, and mint retails for around $4 a package at your local grocery store

Bernheim Wheat Whisky and Maker's Mark Bourbon are both available at your local liquor store

Cheers!

Coach Bleecker Debossed Stripe Duffle

This is more than just your everyday run of the mill duffle. This is the bag that you have been waiting for. It has a vintage feel that will make your toes curl in ecstasy. I would personally use it as a carry-on, since it is the perfect size to fit in the overhead bin. It would also make a good overnight bag, but I wouldn't recommend it as a weekend bag unless you pack lightly (unlike me).

I do not know who is designing for the Coach Legacy line but they are amazing. I want everything this season, but most of all this bag. If you can't choose a color, you should just buy them all!
